Power ConverterHybrid Fuel Cell Development Team Designs High Efficiency Power Converter
Kettering faculty member, Dr. Mark Thompson of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and KU student Joshua Anzicek have designed and tested a low-cost, fully integrated DC-DC power converter and control system for fuel cell applications.

Dr Joel BerryAutomation Alley Selects Dr. Joel Berry as 2005 Emerging Leader
Dr. K. Joel Berry, head of Kettering’s Mechanical Engineering Department and director of the Center for Fuel Cell Systems & Powertrain Integration, was chosen as the Emerging Leader of the Year (2005 New Category), in the Automation Alley Fifth Annual Awards Gala at the Ford Conference and Event Center on Friday, Sept. 23. Automation Alley is a collaborative that drives the growth and image of Southeast Michigan's technology economy.

Dr Gianfranco DiGiuseppeDr. Gianfranco DiGiuseppe Heads Up Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Research
Kettering’s Center for Fuel Cell Systems & Powertrain Integration welcomes Dr. Gianfranco DiGiuseppe, formerly a principal engineer at Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation. He will serve as the technical leader for developing new Solid Oxide Fuel Cell geometries for enhanced electrical performance as well as the development of fabrication processes and the introduction of advanced materials pertinent to the new cell geometries.
