In July 2003, Kettering opened the doors of a new $36 million, 120,000 square foot Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry Building. The Center for Fuel Cell Systems & Powertrain Integration will be housed in this facility, where fuel cell education, research and testing will be conducted. The Center will be powered by a 200 kW stationary fuel cell, and will feature classrooms, labs, a business incubator and offices.
