ABOUT KETTERING

Kettering University is one of the nation's largest institutions of engineering education, with a history of graduating the best and brightest engineering talent for over 80 years. Kettering graduates more than 500 engineers annually to design and manufacture some of the world's finest vehicles.

In the spirit of Charles Kettering, automotive industry pioneer and innovator, the University's philosophy is to teach students not only engineering skills in the classroom, but to make opportunities available for hands-on learning in leading companies through its five-year undergraduate co-op program. This educational system allows students to earn a world-class degree and graduate with over two years of progressive work experience.

Kettering University is situated within Michigan's automotive manufacturing corridor, along the Flint River in the Automobile National Heritage Area. This area has long supported the automotive industry. It is synonymous with exceptional productivity and manufacturing expertise. Flint is going through a transformation based on a novel infrastructure. Future campus development at Kettering is designated within the this Enterprise Zone.

One of Kettering's greatest assets is its close working relationship with more than 700 companies, including General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company, Delphi Corporation, General Hydrogen, Nissan, UPS, U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Visteon, Eaton and SUN Microsystems.
